ترودو يدعو إلى مواجهة الاسلاموفوبيا

دعا رئيس الوزراء الكندي جاستين ترودو الاثنين في البرلمان مواطنيه إلى "الوقوف بشكل علني ضد الإسلاموفوبيا والعنصرية بكل أشكالها". وأسِف أن جرائم الكراهية والعنصرية أصبحت أمراً "مألوفا" وتقابل "بالتسامح" أحيانا ،
وذلك في ذكرى الهجوم على مسجد بمدينة كبيبك قبل عام حيث قتل ستة مسلمين،
ودعا ترودو يوم الاثنين 29 يناير 2018 خلال إحياء ذكرى الهجوم على مسجد في كيبيك أسفر عن مقتل ستة مسلمين، الكنديين إلى الوقوف بوجه الرهاب من الإسلام والعنصرية.وأسف وهو يتحدث أمام البرلمان، لأن جرائم الكراهية والعنصرية أصبحت أمرا "مألوفا" وتقابل "بالتسامح" أحيانا.
وقال: "لا يمكننا إعادة الحياة إلى الذين قتلوا لكن ندين لهم بمحاربة المشاعر التي أدت إلى خسارتهم. نحن مدينون لهم بهذا لرفع الصوت والوقوف بشكل علني ضد الإسلاموفوبيا والعنصرية بكل أشكالها".
وكان رجل اقتحم مسجدا في حي سكني بمدينة كيبيك بعد صلاة العشاء في 29 كانون يناير 2017 وفتح النار على المصلين.
وبالإضافة إلى مقتل ستة أشخاص، أدى الاعتداء إلى إصابة أربعة من الجرحى بإعاقات دائمة. وفي أعقاب الاعتداء تجمع الآلاف بمن فيهم ترودو في مدينة كيبيك للتعبير عن دعمهم للمسلمين في البلاد.
ووجهت السلطات القضائية الكندية في أكتوبر 2017 إلى المشتبه بارتكابه الجريمة، ألكسندر بيسونيت، لائحة اتهام بقتل ستة ومحاولة قتل 35 آخرين.
ومن المقرر أن تبدأ جلسات محاكمته في أواخر مارس المقبل.
وسجل الهجوم حالة نادرة في التاريخ الكندي الحديث، إذ كانت المرة الأولى التي يرتفع فيها مستوى العنصرية ضد المسلمين إلى العنف المسلح، الأمر الذي أثار ضجة وقلقاً في البلاد على المستوى الشعبي والرسمي، وأدى إلى اتخاذ اجراءات أمنية شديدة في جميع المراكز الإسلامية والجوامع في المقاطعة. وفي منطقة كارتييه فيل شمال مونتريال ذات الغالبية المسلمة
ويتواجد العدد الأكبر من الجوامع في المدينة، ويواصل المسلمون هناك ممارسة نشاطاتهم اليومية بشكل طبيعي، ويقيمون صلواتهم، دون أي نقصان ملحوظ في أعداد المصلين. وصرح دانييل مظفر، مدير «المركز الإسلامي في كيبيك» في مونتريال، لـلصحف حينها أن «الدعم الذي تلقيناه من الفئة الأكبر من الكنديين، والتعازي التي وردتنا من الكثير من دول العالم، وردود الفعل الحكومية، جعلتنا في حالة أفضل بعد صدمة لم تكن متوقعة» وأضاف «وعلى الرغم من أننا نفكر في زيادة التحصينات الأمنية حول الجامع، إلا أننا لا نشك بأنها جريمة فردية، لن يتكرر حدوثها في المجتمع الكندي».
وعقد جاستين ترود و عقب الهجوم اجتماعات مع رئيس الحكومة والقيادات الإسلامية في المقاطعة، لمناقشة ما يمكن فعله، وكيف يمكن للمسلمين التصرف بإيجابية ردا على هذه الجريمة، مشيراً إلى أن التضامن الهائل الذي ورد المسلمين، يمكن اعتباره نقطة تحول إيجابية لتوحد المجتمع الكندي.
يذكر أن شارك رئيس الوزراء الكندي، جاستن ترودو، في مراسم تشييع ثلاثة قتلى سقطوا في الاعتداء على مسجد مقاطعة كيبيك شمال شرقي كندا.
وألقى كلمة خلال المراسم التي أقيمت في قصر المؤتمرات في مدينة كيبيك، أكد خلالها أنه يجب على الذين يطلقون تصريحات ورسائل الكراهية، أن يعوا الأضرار التي يتسببون بها وأضاف «ما يقع على عاتقنا هو مهمة الدفاع عن قيمنا، ولن ننسى أبدا هؤلاء الضحايا».

In October 2017, the Canadian judicial authorities charged the suspect, Alexandre Bissonnette
,with an indictment of killing six and trying to kill 35 others.
His trial is due to begin in late March.
The attack was a rare occurrence in modern Canadian history. It was the first time that racism against Muslims had risen to armed violence, stirring up public and official anger and anxiety in the country, leading to heavy security measures in all Islamic centers and mosques in the province and in the Cartierville area of northern Montreal, which is predominantly Muslim.
The largest number of mosques are located in the city, and Muslims continue to practice their daily activities normally and maintain their prayers, without any significant decrease in the number of worshipers. Daniel Muzaffar, director of the Quebec Islamic Centre in Montreal, told the press that "the support we received from the larger Canadians, the condolences we received from many countries around the world, and government reactions made us better off after an unexpected shock" "Although we are thinking of increasing security fortifications around the mosque, we do not doubt it is an individual crime, which will not happen again in Canadian society."
After the attack, Justin Trudeau held meetings with the prime minister and Islamic leaders in the province to discuss what can be done and how Muslims can act positively in response to this crime, he said that the solidarity of Muslims can be seen as a positive turning point for the unity of Canadian society.
