بعد الحادثة المروعة التي حدثت بالأمس وسط مدينة تورونتو والتي أسفر عنها مقتل تسعة أشخاص وإصابة ستة عشر آخرين كانوا على ممر المشاة، ينصح موقع أيام كندية بشدة جميع المشاة على الطرقات وفي كل مكان من العالم توخي الحذر الشديد وعدم الوثوق بالسيارات العابرة على الطرقات أو إشارات المرور واعتبارها من البديهيات فمن الملاحظ أن معظم المشاة يباشرون قطع الطريق بمجرد فتح إشارة المشاة أمامهم وذلك دون تكليف خاطرهم بكشف الطريق أو التأكد من سلامة العبور، نصيحة لا تثق كامل الثقة بالإشارة الضوئية بل اكشف الطريق يميناً ويساراً أيضاً فلو غفل سائق للحظة ولم ينتبه للإشارة الضوئية فقد يكون الثمن حياتك لا قدر الله ولن تنفعك حينها إشارة المرور التي وثقت بها وسلمت حياتك لها. بل والنصيحة الأكثر أهمية في هذا السياق هي عدم الإنشغال بالتحديق بالموبايلات وخاصة أثناء إنتظار عبور الطريق فلا أحد يدري إن كان سائق هذه الحافلة أو تلك مجنون متربص في عربته أو مجرم معتوه أو إرهابي قد بيّت النية لهجوم مباغت شبيه بما حصل بالأمس. وأكاد أجزم بأن معظم ضحايا الأمس كانوا منشغلين بهواتفهم النقالة أثناء وقوع عملية الدهس تلك ولو أن أنظارهم في تلك اللحظة كانت تراقب حركة السيارات لكان بمقدورهم الهروب من أمام تلك الحافلة القاتلة ولربما استطاعوا النجاة بأرواحهم. رحم الله ضحايا الأمس و أسبل على ذويهم الصبر والسلوان.

After the horrific incident that took place yesterday in Toronto, which ended up murdering nine souls and injuring 16 people, we strongly advise all pedestrians on the roads and everywhere in the world to be very cautious and not to trust vehicles passing on the roads nor traffic lights. It is quite noticeable that most pedestrians cross the road as soon as the signal turns white, without taking a second to uncover the road or ensure their safety. Please do not give the entire confidence in signal lights, but reveal the road to the right and left, if a driver lost attention for a single second and did not pay attention to the signal, this may end up with a soul loss, God forbid. Most importantly in this regard is the pedestrian staring at mobile phones, especially while waiting to cross the street. No one predicts whether the driver of this vehicle or that is a mad man, a criminal, a moron or a terrorist who had the intention of a terrifying attack of that kind. I can almost assume that most of the victims of yesterday's incident were busy with their mobile phones when that incident happened. If their eyes were watching the traffic at that moment, they could have escaped from that deadly vehicle and could have saved their lives. May God have mercy on those victim's souls, and may God stand by their families.
